Picture taken at the Renville County Market during the filming of a future video to be released at Brian’s Induction in Montreal late June 2022.

1st Vice President Brian Sheehan has been a member of the Lions Club International for almost 30 years. In June 2022, Brian will be inducted as the Lion’s International President. Here is a snippet from a wonderful article written by Rural Computer Consultants on Brain’s journey as a Lion’s Club member. You can read the full article here.

He remembers, “I was very fortunate to be asked to be a Lion in 1991, and after the first meetings, they said to me, ‘how would you like to be President?’ ” Brian’s involvement and memories of the Lions go back even further though. His Dad, Fabian Sheehan, was one of the Charter Members of the Bird Island Lions back in 1964. “Dad was always helping out in our community and felt that was one of the most important things in life. As a kid, I remember being part of events like selling Christmas trees, delivering meals on wheels, and all kinds of other events around Bird Island.”

– Rural Computer Consultants, Brian Sheehan – A Lions Leadership Story That is Still Evolving

To this day, the Lions are deeply rooted in their community selling Christmas trees, giving out bike helmets, serving meals and supporting community events. It’s been 100 years since there has been an International President from Minnesota, a tremendous honor indeed. We’d love to have you join us in serving our community!
